NEXT MEETING

Cuddington Residents' Association (CRA) was founded in 1935.

There is a history timeline of the first 90 years HERE
Volunteer opportunities exist for a wide range of skills - marketing, organising, delivering, gardening, catering, conservation - we add to the list every year.

Everybody in Cuddington is welcome to join our meetings.
If you have questions, concerns about where you live - or ideas for local events - we would be very interested to hear from you!

It is not essential to become a member - but your yearly subscription is just £3 a year.
This funds your quarterly magazine, events, equipment for volunteers and charitable donations to local organisations.

Looking after our chalk stream

There are local volunteer groups for the Hogsmill, our local river. A local water quality monitor serves on our committee, so questions about the river can be asked at our meetings. We organise litterpicks in the area to protect the waterway from plastic pollution.

Ernest Shadbolt Daylily Garden

Shadbolt Park is cared for by volunteers. The collection of Daylilies was saved by Doreen Bennett when the council could no longer care for it. The park volunteers work between 10am and midday on Saturdays.

Elmstead Red Listed Bird Project

Elmstead Nature & Erlibird Project is on WhatsApp. A neighbourhood conservation group, they promote nest sites for swift, starling and house sparrow and a hedgehog friendly environment. Please contact them if you can host a nest box.

Street Gardening

Every Autumn, street groups raise funds to buy and plant spring bulbs. Grants can be applied for and trees are available for some sites through Epsom & Ewell Tree Advisory Bureau, so please attend the next meeting and we will be pleased to help.

Cuddington Womens' Institute

Cuddington WI meet on Fridays, 11am-1pm. There is a lively programme of talks and outings. Ladies volunteer locally and help to run events like the Cuddington Christmas Concert and the summer Big Day Out.

St Mary the Virgin Gardeners

St Mary the Virgin Cuddington churchyard is cared for by volunteers and help is always very welcome! Some work is carried out on a Friday morning. Occasionally there is a weekend gardening day. MORE DETAILS

Local History & Heritage

A committee volunteer who has experience of heritage in Epsom and Ewell can point you to sites of interest in Cuddington - including Civil War History, Arts and Victoriana - and to books on the subject.

Volunteer Journalism - All Ages

We publish our own quarterly magazine and are always looking for writers! If you want to write about your hobby or school project, an upcoming event or your new business, please come to a meeting and speak to our editor.
